We are currently seeking a senior tax specialist to join our growing practice. A Senior Tax Specialist is responsible for utilizing research skills, applying tax foundational knowledge to understand potential tax issues, meeting with clients for gathering information necessary for filing and participating in tax planning, recognizing, and communicating potential risks, preparing tax accrual workpapers and perform tasks with little supervision.

Educación:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Licencia y/o Certificación:

CPA License or candidate to become a CPA

Cualificaciones:

Good verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
English Analytical, research and critical thinking skills
Knowledge Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and PR and Federal Tax returns software

Task:

Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals
Facilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issues
Assist others with preparing tax returns for review.
Review tax work from staff and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline
Build, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clients
Participate in firm’s marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar efforts
Develop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sources
Adhere to firm’s policies and procedures.

Experiencia:

3-5 years of prior experience in Public Accounting or another similar professional services environment.
